Antonio, in his 59th year, beloved husband of Maria for 37 years. Loving father of Sandra and her husband Kofi and the late Paula. Loved Vavô of Ace. Predeceased by his parents Adelaide and Antonio Frias. Dear brother of Conceicao, Estrela, Davide, Duarte, Helena, Isabel, Angela and Sonia. Also, predeceased by his sister Eduarda. Predeceased by her husband Clarence Denny (2010). Beloved mother "Mum" of Ray (Mary Lou), Joyce Marshall, the late Vern (2013) and daughter-in-law Linda. She was the proud grandma of Michael, Brian (Krista), Stephen, Gregory (Christina), Kevin (Megan), Kyle (Cristina), and Baillie Marshall. Great- Grandma of Isabelle, Emilie, Hayden, Grace, and Jettsyn. Vera was an elementary school teacher for thirty-two years. She spent her early years of teaching in several one-room schools until 1965 when Woodside School in Erin Township closed. She moved to the new Ospringe School in Wellington County where she finished her career as a teacher/librarian in 1986. She was a life-long learner completing her B.A. degree from Waterloo Lutheran University in 1970 as well as librarian qualification courses in the subsequent years. In her retirement years Vera became a world traveller visiting many places on four different continents. She had a passion for family history as well as Churchill Church where she served as secretary and treasurer for several decades. Due to Covid restrictions, a Private family service has taken place, at Churchill Community Church, Acton. Interment at Churchill Com- munity Cemetery. Evelyn had many hidden talents and won several first prize ribbons at the local Fall Fair for her crafts. She was born and raised in Derby, England where she contributed to the war efforts by working at Rolls Royce. After the war, her and John immigrated to Canada in 1957 to start their new life and raise their children. Evelyn and John started their courier business, Window Express, and they were respected by many. Cremation and graveside service followed on Monday September 21st, 2020 at 2:00 pm. Early in these over 88 years, he married Theresia Wissucheck (2011) and produced three sons, James (Rosabelle), Douglas (Margaret), and John (Alison 2013) who have blessed him with six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Ross had only one job in his life, in engineering of the telecommunications division of Canadian National Railways, retiring from the same position as his father before him. Although the company later changed names and owners, he kept the same office. He moved his family to Georgetown in 1957 and during his free time and retirement, he was involved in the scouting movement within the community, became proficient in marquetry, producing a myriad of pictures and music boxes, an avid model ship builder and an enthusiast of the study of butterflies.
