I've started experimenting with the virtual board(online*) games, here is what I have found out:

Any board game where nobody has any secrets can be played online with a good webcam. Cooperative board games(where players work together against a set of rules) work very well for this. One person sets up the game and webcam and then shows the board to the other players. The player with the board in front of them then makes the moves described by the other players. The only downside is no mattered what you do, it's not easy to see everything in as much detail as you would in real life, so it's up to the person who has the webcam to describe in detail what's happening in the game.(reminds me of being a Game Master in Role Playing Games). It is totally playable and enjoyable this way!

You can also find a number of board games that have online conversions. Just google the name of the game and "online" to see if they is one you can play online. You might need to make an account and some of them cost money. I have only tried free ones and I find it challenging to find people to play with.

The best game to play online(that does not need a physical board) is "Pictionary", you use something like Zoom and a service like this: https://randomwordgenerator.com/pictionary.php. You then use the "Whitboard" feature in Zoom. It's a blast and don't worry nobody can draw well online!(with a mouse) Also don't worry about score, just play for fun.

* Sidenote: Appending "Virtual" onto normal events/programs annoys me, as it makes it sound like a Virtual Reality thing, I am tiny bit concenred that future generations will be misinformed that we did everything in Virtual Reality in the pandemic.
