Green Christmas! Snow for Easter! Seems like something is wrong with this picture. Hope everyone had a good holiday and the Easter Bunny was good to you all. Congratulations to Susan Williamson. She was the lucky winner of the beautiful Easter basket. On Tuesday, April 10, the April Shower luncheon was held. I wasn't able to attend but I bet you all had a good feed of spaghetti and salad. There is a possibility of starting a ceramics class at the Centre. If you are interested, or just curious, come out to see how it is done and give it a try. A demonstration class will be held on Monday, April 23, at 1 p.m. If there is enough interest ceramic classes will be held on Mondays, 1 to 3 p.m. Ladies, have you looked over your wardrobe for spring? Looking a little drab? Then come to the Geri Fashion Show to be held Monday, April 30 at 1 p.m. I'm certain you will find something to spruce it up and have some fun at the same time. Once more the men go to work cooking up pancakes and sausages for the famous All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast on April 21, 8-11 a.m. Tickets are adults $5, children (12 years and under) $3. Come out and enjoy a delicious breakfast and support the Georgetown Seniors Centre. The Band is practising hard to play for a Spring Fling Dance to be held May 5, 7:30-10 p.m. at a cost of $5 per person. Phone up some friends and come out for a night of dancing, draws, door prizes, refreshments, and fun, fun, fun! Doing your spring-cleaning? Consider donating those unwanted items to the Centre's Annual Yard Sale on Saturday, May 26, 8 a.m. to noon. PLEASE NO CLOTHING OR SHOES. All items for the Yard Sale can be dropped off at the Centre on Friday, May 25, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Help is also needed to price, set up, sell and clean up. If you can give some time for this please call Sherry or Kristen. All proceeds benefit the Senior Centre. Come out to the Georgetown Seniors Centre! Get involved! Make new friends! Share in the good times!
