Hit songwriters Dean McTaggart, Chris Whiteley and Jenny Whiteley will be special guests at Source of the Song 7, joining songwriter/host Bruce Madole for an acoustic songwriters' concert on Saturday November 4, 2-5 p.m. at the Town Hall in Glen Williams. Songwriter Dean McTaggart is the author of hits for Amanda Marshall (Dark Horse, Last Exit to Eden, Birmingham) as well as Anne Murray, Wynonna Judd and others, and will be performing songs from his new CD, Shed My Sin. Chris Whiteley is an award-winning jazz, blues and roots musician (not to mention, SOCAN Songwriter of the Year) who has performed on over 150 CDs by other artists, in addition to his own recording career as a singer/songwriter and artist. Juno-award winning roots artist Jenny Whiteley has won awards in her previous performing career with bluegrass group Heartbreak Hill, and again for her solo artist release Hopetown. Her newest CD, called Dear, has just been released. Tickets for the event are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. They are available at Studio 7 in the Williams Mill Visual Arts Studios, 515 Main St. or from Best's Harbour, 523 Main St., both in Glen Williams.
