Hot tub raffle to aid local girl
Independent & Free Press (Georgetown, ON), 9 Aug 2006, p. 3

Full Text

All the money raised through the sale of tickets for a hot tub and cover on display in Georgetown Market Place will go toward building a personal living space for local girl Bethany Winter, who suffers from a neurological disorder. Bethany, who was born with congenital occipital encephalocele, is globally developmentally delayed and physically challenged. Due to the many challenges she faces and the impact they have had for her and those who care for her, she requires her own personal living space to accommodate her special needs. Tickets for the hot tub and cover, donated by Sunrise Spas and HST Spa Covers, are $10 and available at the Georgetown Lotto booth, Emerald Isle, J.V. Clothing, Office Magic Stationary, C & S Printing, Bergsma's Paint & Wallpaper and Studio 49. Area resident and HGTV home renovation expert Mike Holmes will draw the winning ticket along with Bethany at Emerald Isle Home Décor in Georgetown, 265 Guelph St., Saturday, August 26 at 5 p.m. Holmes will be in the store from 3 to 5 p.m. signing autographs. Bert Wilson of Emerald Isle, an organizer of the draw, said they hope to raise $25,000 for the living space for Bethany through ticket sales.
