Acton resident Emily Boycott has earned a trip to Shanghai, China for the 2007 World Special Olympics Summer Games after her all-around performance in rhythmic gymnastics at the recent Canadian championships in Brandon, Man. The 23-year-old Boycott, who trains with the Oakville Butterflies rhythmic gymnastics clubm earned gold medals in the ball, hoop, rope and the group routine, along with a silver in the ribbon, to take the overall title in the top division (Level 4).
