Don Laycock (left) and Phil Watson of the Knights' Templar of Canada's Brampton branch presented a cheque for $1,000 to teacher Eleanor Wallace and the Georgetown District High School senior jazz band to help cover costs of their recent successful trip to Ottawa for the Musicfest Nationals. GDHS's senior band earned a gold medal for their performance in the nation's capital, while the junior group claimed silver. The Knights' Templar organization makes donations to community groups each year from its Charles E. Wells Fund. For more information e-mail dlaycock@pathcom.com.
