Acton High School Bearcats' T. J. Fry (10) had to shoot around an airborne Dan Pauls of Halton Regional Police as the two teams played a charity basketball game Thursday, with all proceeds going towards the purchase of fitness equipment for the school fitness centre. Despite only having seven players, Halton Police dominated the first-half show, hitting nine three-pointers. The police held the first quarter lead but the Bearcats overpowered them during the second quarter to close the gap to a two-point half-time lead 38-36. Acton played better defence in the second half and by the final buzzer the Bearcats cruised to a 78-67 win.
