HAINES, MARGARET

           Dear Mom,
           We still look,
           To see your face,
           Share our laugh,
           Feel our embrace,
           It brings great pain,
           And we shed a tear,
When you sit back and realize,
           "No", Mom's not here,
           Your picture it stands,
           We see your smiling face,
           The image of love,
           A family cannot repalce,
           Our family,
           How lucky we are,
           It's grown since you've become,
           One of God's shining stars,
           A new grandson,
           And daughter-in-law,
           We welcome them with Joy,
           And, yes Mom, another boy,
           How time flies,
           A "sixteenth" birthday,
           Two new "Teens",
           A first Communion,
           And Pre-school jeans,
           Baptism,
           Birthdays, (Greyer hair),
           Ball champions,
A Curtis Joseph in the making,
           Treasurable memories for the taking,
           It's funny how you remember,
Something will strike a certain nerve,
And bring back, if only an instant,
Thoughts of experiences shared with you,
Gifts that have no more value,
           Than one can imagine,
           Memorie that tie us together,
As a family, we thank you for,
As we reflect it brings a smile,
And a lump in our throats,
When we share thoughts of you,
           We'd look at each other,laughing,
And adjust our make believe glasses,
Give each other that special smile,
Like Mom, when she called us "Asses",
"They're trying to get my goat".
"Our Queen" would say to a grandchild,
Asking in his own special way,
But the cards don't shuffle, the feeling not the same,
Since March 3, '98, that mournful day,
           Time has a way,
           Of healing all wounds,
It's said and may be true,
But life is not the same,
           Without a Gramma, Mother-in-law, a Mom,
           Without a friend like you.
Sadly missed by, The "15" H's
