           LANGTRY, John -- On Saturday morning, September 25th, 1999 at the Georgetown and District Memorial Hospital, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of the late Barbara Planche and loved father of John Jr.. John will also be missed by all in the Parish of St. Alban's the Martyr, Glen Williams, Ontario. Dear brother of Hazel Smith of London, Ontario. Predeceased by his sisters Joan Nicole-Karne, Eileen Sancton and Kathleen Bolton. Upon the outbreak of the second World War, he enlisted in the Canadian Army's Corps of Signals, he was wounded at the Battle of Mount Casino and was decorated with the 1939-1945 Star, The Italy Star and the France and Germany Ster. He was a member of the Quebec Provincial Command of the Canadian Legion, St. Lambert, Quebec. Friends were received at the J.S. Jones and Son Funeral Home, Georgetown, Ontario on Monday from 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral service was held at St. Alban's the Martyr Anglican Church, Glen Williams on Tuesday, September 28th at 2:00 p.m. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Georgetown, Ontario
