DEAR, George -- In loving memory of a dear grandfather
They tell me to "let go",
           Let you go in peace,
           Remembering the good times,
Is what then I shall do,
           I think of your touch,
           Your smile and your wink,
           The smell of your cigar,
What a heck of a stink,
But now that smell has faded,
Your touch, I feel no more,
Your voice will not be heard,
I won't be knocking on your door,
I can't bring you any donuts,
           Or share my daily news,
Or visit you, when they call,
To say you have the blues,
           But I'll visit the spot,
Where I set your ashes free,
The spot that will be forever,
           A special place for me.
Till we meet again, lovingly remembered and greatly missed by your granddaughter,
           Tara Leavitt
