WARD, Norman -- Peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, June 6, 1998, at the Georgetown and District Memorial Hospital. Norm, in his 77th year, beloved hiusband of Ada Ward and loving father of Janice and her Husband Mario Recchia and Alisch and her husband Jasper Green. Loving grandfather of Michelle and her husband Jim Byers, Erika and Adam Breese and Melinda Recchia and great-grandfather of Victoria, Hayley and Braedon. Loving brother of Freda and Marion of Yorkshire, England. Norm serves with the Royal Navy in WWII as a leading telegraphist, a past president of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 120 and he served 28 years on the executive. Norm was the recipient of the Meritorious Service Medal. Norm worked as a postal clerk for 26 years at the Georgetown Post Office. Friends were received at the J.S. Jones and Son Funeral Home, Georgetown, Ontario, on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service was held in the chapel on Tuesday, June 9, at 11 a.m. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Georgetown.
