McKINLEY, Harold (Butterball Farm, Norval) Member of the Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame since 1983. Known as a true horseman throughout North America, he trained and drove harness horses for Armstrong Bros. Stables from 1954 to 1969 in 1970 he and Audrey started their own training stables in Norval, from which he bred and drove several winners until Audrey's death in November 1995. On Friday, May 22, 1998, at the Georgetown and District Memorial Hospital, he passed away after suffering a major stroke in his 77th year. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Almeda. Lovingly remembered by his brother Jack and his wife Evelyn and their family of Prince George, B.C. and sister Alberta Gehring and her family and husband Harvey of Langly, B.C. Sadly missed by his second wife of 1-1/2years. Myrna Noecker and her family Janine, Lori, Tracy and Andrew Teman. Harold was interred beside Audrey in Hillcrest Cemetery, Norval. The family will be hilding an open house in Harold's memory on Sunday afternoon June 7, 1998 at the farm. Funeral arrangements entrusted to J.S. Jones and Son Funeral Home, Georgetown, Ontario.
