HARLEY, Robert Bruce -- (Sgt. C.D. B74701) On Tuesday afternoon, March 3, 1998. Bruce passed away at the Georgetown Hospital with his family, in his 78th year. He was a member of the Lorne Scots Association and also was a 52 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 120. He served with the Lorne Scots, overseas from 1941 to 1945. He was the beloved husband of Margaret Mae Ransom and loving father of David and his wife Jean of Georgetown, Linda Mountain of Brampton and Heather and her husband Dieter of Cambridge. Loving grandfather of Philip, Joleen, John and great-grandfather Brittany, Sarah and Emuly. He is survived by his brother Ray and his wife Mary, Gord and his wife Jean, Brock and his wife Martha of Georgetown, Terry and wife Marlene of Sauble Beach and sisters Jean and husband Don Hancock of Glen Williams and Bessie and her husband Don Adams of Paris, Ontario. Friends were received at the J.S. Jones and Son Funeral Home, Georgetown, Ontario, on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. (Royal Canadian Legion Service was held Thursday night at 9 p.m.) Funeral and commital service was held in the chapel on Friday, March 6 at11 a.m. Cremation.
