After an attack of inflammation of the lungs Mrs. William Withers passed away last Thursday at the family residence, lot 24, fifth line, Nassagaweya. The funeral was held to Fairview Cemetery, Acton, on Saturday afternoon. Mrs. Withers' maiden name was Annie Drysdale, and she was married to her sorrowing husband at Ayrshire, Scotland, 52 years ago in December. The family came to Canada in October 1906, and the twelve years since have been spent in Eramosa and Nassagaweya. There were nine sons and three daughters born in this home, all of whom survive, as follows: Mrs. Thomas Kilty, Nassagaweya; Mrs. O. E. Day, of Toronto; Mrs. H. Maisch, of South Africa; James in Scotland; John in Scotland; Robert in Oil City, Pa.; Charles, of Guelph; William in Scotland; Andrew, in Scotland; Thomas in Scotland; George in U.S. army and David at home. Deceased had fifty-two grand childlren and four generations were in the home at the time of her death. Mrs. Withers was a Presbyterian.
