The Courier Record, of Manistique, Mich., gives particulars of the death of Alex. Durno, a former esteemed resident of Limehouse, at his house at Marblehead, on Friday, 20th August. The funeral was held on Monday from the residence, Rev. Dr. J. R. Mitchell, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, of which the deceased was a member, officiating. The funeral cortege was met at the city limits by members of the Masonic and Odd Fellows lodges, and escorted to the cemetery where the burial service was conducted under the auspices of the Masonic Lodge. Mr. Durno was a man of sterling qualities, and had a great many friends who feel his loss keenly.
