BALLINAFAD
The remains of Sarah McEnery, widow of the late John Shortill, were interred in the family plot in the Cemetery here last Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Dr. McArthur officiating. She had reached her seventy-fourth year. Both Mrs. Shortill and her late husband were among the early settlers of this locality. They were natives of Erin. About forty years ago they went to reside at Arthur, but in 1884 removed to Guelph. Deceased is survived by four sons and two daughters, Messrs. John, of Georgetown; Joseph, of Buffalo; William, of Tacoma, Washington; and Richard at home; and Mrs. Saunders, of Emerson, Manitoba; and Mrs. Joseph Hewitt, of London, Ontario. The funeral was very largely attended.
