Last Thursday afternoon Mr. T. B.Coulson and his hired man were engaged in putting up a beam in the barn, when it slipped and fell on Mr. Coulson inflicting fatal injuries. He was carried to the house and medical aid summoned, but he died on Friday evening.
Mr. Coulson was a highly respected farmer near this place. He was for some years engaged in business here and subsequently went farming. He was well connected throughout the district in which he lived and had a wide circle of friends and relatives who will mourn his premature demise. Mrs. Coulson and an adopted daughter survive. He was an active worker in Methodist Church here and for years was superintendent of the Sunday School. The funeral on Monday afternoon was very largely attended and was conducted by Rev. W. H. Douglas, the pastor of the circuit, assisted by Revs. Archer, of Lowville, and Dodds, of Rockwood. The six brothers of deceased were the bearers.
