Death of Duncan Sinclair
After a long period of illness the death of Duncan Sinclair, Young Street, occurred early Tuesday morning. Mr. Sinclair had reached the good old age of 84 years. He was born in Isla, Scotland, in 1836, and came to Canada with his father, the late Duncan Sinclair, when eight years of age. The family first settled in Chinguacousy, but a few years later took up land on lot 2, con. 10, Erin. Deceased was married to Jane Currie, daughter of the late Duncan Currie, Erin, 54 years ago last January. Mrs. Sinclair and the following sons and daughters survive: Duncan, on the old homestead; Alexander, at Alton; Malcolm and Sarah at home and Mrs. V. L. Vanatter, also of Acton. Two sons and two daughters died in early life. Mr. Sinclair was a member of the Presbyterian Church and a Liberal. The family moved to Acton three years ago and are highly esteemed. The funeral will be held this afternoon at one o'clock. Interment at Providence Cemetery, tenth line, Erin.
