Remains of Alfred Budd Buried.
Undertaker Johnstone had rather a trying experience in bringing to Acton the remains of Alfred Budd, who died at St. Clemens on Wednesday of last week under circumstances peculiar, to say the least. Mr. Johnstone got to St. Clemens during the height of the storm which prevailed last week. He prepared the remains for removal and with a ten mile drive before him ere he could take the train at Waterloo he realised that he had a herculean tast. He arrived at Waterloo in time for the evenig train and found all trains cancelled owing to the snow blockade. It was the evening of the next day before he reached home. The remains were kept at the undertaking parlors until Saturday afternoon when the funeral was conducted by Rev. Matthew Wilson, M. A. There is considerable talk about the propriety of an inquest having been held, and it is rumored that steps may yet be taken to enquire into the cause leading up to the sudden death of the unfortunate man.
