A Tribute from the West.
The Abernethian, the local paper published at Abernethy, Sask., pays the following tribute to the late Gordon Henderson: "The death of Gordon Henderson caused many friends to feel as though a personal friend had been called to cross to that great beyond from whence there is no return. Gordon had been brought up a banker, receiving his early training in his father's private bank, he rapidly advanced and became the youngest bank manager in the Dominion when he took charge of the Bank of Hamilton at this point three years ago. He was one of the early arrivals in town and made fast friends of all those whom he met in a business capacity, by his marked ability and pleasant off hand way. His keen interest and sportsmanlike demeanor in all athletic sports made him a general favorite. Very many friends in the west unite in sympathy with the bereaved parents in the loss of their boy, while yet in the prime of life, in his 27th year, and with the brothers and sister, as they think of the true friend they have lost."
