DEATH OF CHARLES RAYMOND.

The Well-Known Guelph Sewing
Machine Manufacturer Died
Monday.

GUELPH, Jan. 4. - Mr. Charles Raymond, one of the upbuilders of this City, and the designer and perfecter of the celebrated Raymond Sewing Machines, passed away early this morning, at the age of 78.
Mr. Raymond was a good citizen. He was a member of the Baptist Church, and was treasurer of the superannuation fund of that body. He had taken part in public life in Guelph, having been reeve, an alderman, and a member of the Board of Education. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. John Crown, of Guelph, and Mrs. Harry Williams, of Davisville, and one son, Mr. Charles F. Raymond, of The Star staff, Toronto.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday his 79th birthday.
