Fell Asleep - Full of Years.
At the ripe old age of 92 years, Alexandrina Mill, relict of George Manson, of Brins, Caithness, Scotland, peacefully passed away on Monday forenoon at the home of her son-in-law, George Douglas, lot 18, con. 1, Esquesing. The old lady had not been ill but was unusually bright on the morning of her death. Her heart quietly ceased beating, and the spirit took its flight. Mrs. Manson came to Canada from Scotland in 1871, resided for a time at Streetsville and afterwards in Trafalgar. Twelve years ago she came to reside with Mr. Douglas and family , where all her wants were lovingly ministered to by her daughter and the family generally. She was a godly woman and lived a consistent Christian life. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon, the remains being tenderly deposited in Fairview Cemetery here. Rev. H. A. Macpherson conducted the service and six grandsons, Messrs. William, and Donald Douglas, Esquesing, George and William Douglas, Trafalgar, and John Monson, Glenorchy, acted as bearers.
