Remains Brought from Chicago.
After a long and painful illness death ended the sufferings of Mrs. John T. Easton at her home in Chicago last Sunday. For some time Mrs. Easton has been suffering from a cancer in the breast. Several months ago she had an operation in a Chicago hospital for its removal. The operation was at first thought to be successful, but later developments proved the contrary. The remains were brought to Acton Monday evening by Mr. Easton, and the funeral took place Tuesday afternoon from the home of Mr. Alex. Ramshaw, Guelph St., brother of deceased. Mrs. Easton was the daughter of Mr. Williamson Ramshaw. She was born in the Scotch Block and came to Acton with her parents twenty-five years ago. She was married in 1880 to Mr. John T. Easton, then a baker here, but who with the family subsequently removed to Sarnia and thence to Chicago. Mr. Easton, and their only child, Willie, who is now in his twenty-first year, survive her. The funeral on Tuesday afternoon was conducted by Rev. J. M. Hagar, M.A., and Rev. H. A. Macpherson.
