One of Nassagaweya's old settlers passed away on Wednesday, March 10th, in the person of Mrs. Ann Watson aged 69 years. Deceased had been a cripple for over thirty years during which time she was never able to walk. The cause of her death was la grippe and inflammation of the lungs. The funeral took place on Friday from her residence to the Ebenezer cemetery. The pall bearers were Messrs. Geo. Easterbrook. Robt. Dredge, Jos. Lester, James Marks, John Ramage, George Young. The Rev. Thos. Amy preached the funeral sermon. A large concourse of friends followed the remains to their last resting place.
