Full Text
On Monday, June 1st, as Mr. George Dennis, on the 2nd con. Trafalgar, was engaged rolling some land, the seat of the roller broke, precipitating him onto the whiffletrees, at the same time losing one of the lines. The horses started off and ran in a circle round the field, and just as Mr. Dennis had about regained his position, one of the horses kicked him in the abdomen close to the thigh. He was taken home and medical assistance sent for, but all their efforts proved unavailing as death took place Tuesday morning about 8 o'clock. Mr. Dennis was very highly respected in the community in which he lived, and his death is deeply regretted by all. He was a man in the prime of life, and leaves a wife and several children, who have the sympathy of all in their terribly sudden bereavement.
