"Blessed are the Dead, Etc."
The remains of Miss Jessie, daughter of Mr. W. P. Brown, of Toronto, formerly of Acton, were brought here and interred in Fairview Cemetery on Monday morning. When Mr. Brown went to Toronto five years ago Jessie was the picture of health and continued so until last March she was stricken with typhoid fever. Though she recovered from the fever her previous strength was never regained, and her life seemed to gradually fade away until last Friday night her spirit peacefully left the clay. Jessie was possessed of a most unselfish and lovable disposition. She was always a good girl and for years reposed implicit trust in her Saviour. She attended the services of the house of God regularly while her strength permitted and never failed to enjoy them. The writer visited her a few weeks ago and the christian character manifested and perfect trust expressed were beautifull and joyous. Her death leaves a sad blank in Mr. Brown's family who have the sympathy of all his old friends and associates here.
