Full Text
An old and respected citizen of our village has gone to his last resting place. Early on Monday morning Mr. Jas. Penwell breathed his last after almost a week of intense suffering caused by congestion of the lungs. He was taken sick last Wednesday and did not leave his bed after that. For a number of years Mr. Penwell carried the mails here and was always found to be a careful and obliging man in his business. With his death there closes and good and useful life. The funeral which took place Tuesday afternoon was largely attended. The burying took place at the cemetery which adjoins the grounds of the Friends meeting house.
